Overview

Juvéderm is a comprehensive line of FDA-approved hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers designed to combat the signs of premature skin aging. How Juvéderm Works

Each Juvéderm product uses HA cross-linked to a different consistency for a specific purpose: thinner gels for delicate areas like fine lip lines, thicker gels for structural lift in the cheeks, chin, or jawline. Juvéderm’s VYCROSS“ and Volumatic“ technologies are designed for longer-lasting results with smooth integration into the surrounding tissue.

Formulated with the local anesthetic lidocaine for comfort. Ideal for lip enhancement and softening fine lines around the mouth.

Juvéderm Ultra Plus XC

A thicker formulation tailored for moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles and mid-face volume loss; also used for lip enhancement.

Juvéderm Voluma XC

What to Expect

Before

Your visit begins with a consultation. Your injector evaluates your facial proportions and recommends the Juvéderm product or combination best suited to your goals. Topical numbing is applied for comfort.

During

Treatment typically takes 30—45 minutes depending on the areas treated. Juvéderm products are formulated with lidocaine for comfort, and treatment is delivered through a fine needle or cannula.

After

Mild redness, swelling, or pinpoint bruising at the injection sites is normal and resolves over a few days. Most patients return to normal activities the same day.

Results and Longevity

Results are typically visible immediately and continue to refine as initial swelling resolves. Longevity varies by product and area: lip products generally last 6—12 months, while structural fillers like Voluma can last up to 2 years. Maintenance treatments help preserve your results over time.
