HALO
Overview
HALO Laser is an innovative advancement in dermatologic laser technology that delivers comprehensive skin resurfacing in a single treatment. By combining ablative and non-ablative wavelengths in one fractional device, HALO targets signs of aging, sun damage, and uneven texture at multiple skin depths simultaneously, something traditional single-wavelength lasers cannot do.
At Le Nouveau Belle, we are proud to offer this cutting-edge treatment to safely address a broad spectrum of common dermatologic concerns, making HALO an ideal choice for individuals seeking to enhance their skin’s appearance with minimal downtime.
What HALO Is and How It Works
HALO is a hybrid fractional laser, meaning it delivers two wavelengths in the same treatment pass:
- A non-ablative wavelength (1470 nm) penetrates deeper layers of the dermis to stimulate collagen and address pigmentation at depth.
- An ablative wavelength (2940 nm) gently resurfaces the outermost layer of skin to refine texture, tone, and clarity.
This dual-wavelength fractional approach treats only a fraction of the skin at a time, leaving healthy tissue around each microscopic treatment zone to drive faster healing. The result is comprehensive skin rejuvenation, deep correction with surface-level glow, that historically required multiple separate procedures.
What HALO Treats
HALO laser technology is adept at managing both superficial and deeper dermatologic conditions, including:
- Acne scars and post-acne textural changes
- Solar lentigines (sunspots) and sun-damaged skin
- Fine lines and wrinkles (rhytides)
- Hyperpigmentation, melasma, and uneven skin tone
- Enlarged pores and rough texture
- Dull, tired-looking skin in need of overall revitalization
Common treatment areas include the face, neck, décolletage, hands, arms, and other sun-exposed regions. HALO is efficacious and safe across a range of skin types, including darker skin tones, a key advantage over many older resurfacing lasers.
What to Expect During Your HALO Treatment
Before
Your visit begins with a complimentary consultation at Le Nouveau Belle. We assess your skin, review your goals, and customize the treatment depth based on your concerns and downtime tolerance. A topical numbing cream is applied for approximately 45-60 minutes prior to treatment for comfort.
During
The treatment itself typically takes 30-45 minutes. Patients commonly describe the sensation as a warm, prickling feeling. The HALO device’s integrated cooling and motion-tracking technology helps deliver consistent, even results.
After
Expect mild redness, warmth, and a sandpaper-like texture as the skin sheds and regenerates. Most patients return to normal activities within 24“48 hours, with peeling tapering off over 3“5 days. We will provide you with a complete aftercare protocol, including gentle cleansers, moisturizers, and SPF guidance.
Results and Longevity
Many patients notice an immediate “HALO glow” once initial redness resolves, with continued improvement over the following weeks as new collagen develops. Tone, texture, pore appearance, and pigmentation generally continue to refine for several months. Results are long-lasting when paired with consistent sun protection and a quality skincare routine; many patients choose to maintain their results with periodic touch-up sessions tailored to their skin’s needs.
Individual results vary. Your provider will discuss a realistic outlook during your consultation.
