How do I prep for the procedure?

4 week’s prior do not wax, tweeze or have electrolysis, or use hair removal lotions or hair bleaching agents.

3 days prior Discontinue Retin-A, Renova, glycolic acids, vitamin C or any skin irritants. 24 hours prior Shave the area to be treated, if necessary.

What should I expect during the treatment?

The area will be prepped before treatment. Time needed varies, depending on the size of the area being treated. During the treatment, skin is cooled as follicles are heated, keeping you comfortable. Most people find the treatment painless. Is it safe? Yes. The FDA has carefully tested lasers for their safety. At Le Nouveau Belle we use only the best in lasers for our clients. Will more than one treatment be necessary?

For optimal, long-term results, a series of 5 treatments – spaced 6-8 weeks apart – is recommended. The number of treatments depends upon the area you wish to have treated. Occasional maintenance treatments may be necessary.

What should I expect after treatment?

Immediately after treatment, you’ll notice some pinkness or redness in the treated area, which goes away after a short time. You can return to your normal activities, but sunscreen is recommended on any treated area.
