Bioidentical Hormone Therapy
Women suffering from early menopause symptoms looking to put an end to hot flashes, brain fog, sleeping problems, night sweats, memory loss, mood swings, weight gain, and low libido are turning to replace their natural hormones with bioidentical hormones to improve their quality of life. Our practitioners design individualized programs specifically for each woman and help put an end to suffering and effects caused by menopause, and perimenopause.
What are Bioidentical Hormones?
Bioidentical hormones are similar to hormones that are naturally produced by the body, matching the body’s natural hormones.
How are Bioidentical Hormones made?
Bioidentical hormones are made in a laboratory and are based on compounds found in plants (usually soybeans or wild yams). Unlike supplements containing soy or wild yam extract, bioidentical hormones are processed by a highly trained compounding pharmacist. Compounding pharmacists provide medications that have a customized formulation to meet a patient’s specific health care needs.
There are also FDA-approved bioidentical hormone products including estradiol and progesterone.
Why not Synthetic Hormones?
Synthetic hormones are made from plant progesterone and animal estrogens, but are not identical to the hormones the body uses. Synthetic hormones could cause an inflammatory response since their chemical makeup cannot be metabolized properly.
