What is the Melanage Skin Brightening System?

The Melanage Skin Brightening System is a superficial peel designed to improve the texture and appearance of hyper-pigmented skin, which involves a medicated invisimask and an at-home regimen. This peel is safe and effective for all skin types including dark skin. There in no pain and little-to-no irritation during the application of the mask, and typically the irritation level on the following days is more like a sunburn.

How does it work?

Melanage 1 Masque is applied during an office visit to ensure its potency and reliability. Application takes approximately 20 minutes; a uniform layer of Melanage is applied. Patients will leave the office with the masque on their face and masque remains on for required length of time. The remainder of the treatment will continue at home, involving several follow-up visits during the first month. Patients are responsible for adhering to an easy-to-follow, but strict at-home regimen involving the application of several Melanage products following masque removal.

What results can I expect?

Results will vary, but generally patients will see improvement in skin texture and appearance. Dark spots will lighten, complimented by an improved skin texture and tone. Although most patients experience peeling of their skin, not every patient will notice this. If you don’t notice actually peeling, please know that you are still receiving the benefits of The Melanage Skin Brightening System.

The Melanage Skin Brightening System provides the most significant improvement, which may alleviate the appearance of uneven skin tone and brown spots. We recommend one to two treatments per year, at least six months apart. Suitable for all skin types including darker skin tones. Specially formulated home care products are included with each peel.
